Loose Line & Watercolour: Travel Sketching Techniques

Coastal Abstracts on Paper

Mixed media using acrylic, pastel, charcoal & inks we will experiment, play and explore different mediums and layering. Everything you need is supplied, there is no need to go shopping for art materials. We will learn how to simplify our coastal landscape using watercolours, acrylics and pastels on A3 mixed media paper. You’ll also learn tricks and techniques to create your own exciting artworks to frame or use as inspiration for larger works.

Collage & Mixed Media Folding Concertina Books

We will work with handmade collage papers, inks, pastels & acrylics. Working on large sheets of mixed media paper we will consider the elements of composition & contrast to create exciting folding artist books. Coastal Drawing with Richard Briggs - Let’s take our lines for a walk!Explore and simplify the coastal landscape using line to tell the story of these beautiful unique surroundings. Richard will guide us, helping us translate this complex area to capture its essence and interest. We will start in the studio and then spend time drawing on location.
